(Un)Consent to cross the boundaries. Research on violence and discrimination at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw

Dr hab. Julia Kubisa – associate professor at the Faculty of Sociology of the University of Warsaw, where she conducts research on the phenomenon of gendered division of labour and the role of reproductive work, as well as discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace.

The author of “Buntu białych czepków. Analizy działalności związkowej pielęgniarek i położnych” (2014), co-author of “Utrzymać się na powierzchni. O walce z biedą w pięciu krajach europejskich z perspektywy indywidualnego sprawstwa” (2017) and “Job Quality in an Era of Flexibility. Experiences in a European Context” (2019). In 2015/2016 Marie Sklodowska Curie Experienced Researcher at the University of Gothenburg. She cooperates with trade unions. At the University of Warsaw, she is the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for the policy of counteracting discrimination and sexual harassment, develops systemic equality policies, such as the Gender Equality Plan for the University of Warsaw, research and equality education for the university community. She conducts implementation research for public institutions and various types of organizations, focused on counteracting discrimination in the workplace.

Mikołaj Lewicki (Assoc. Prof.) – works at the Department of Sociology, University of Warsaw; his main areas of interest concern economic sociology, organizational culture, cultural institutions and cultural practices. Recently published books: “The Future cannot Begin. Polish Transformation Discourses according to Theories of Time and Theories of Modernization”, “The Social Life of Mortgage”  and co-authored “Culture on Peripheries”.
